Hola.

Veréis, tengo un plantín de dos hojas de Phoenix silvestris.... Tiene 2 años desde semilla.

La Phoenix rupicola se la compré a John creo, y tenía 1 hoja. Ahora tiene dos. Han pasado no sé si 5 meses o una cosa así. La segunda hoja la tiene desde hace bastante menos.

La Phoenix teoprasti... tres cuartos de lo mismo. Muy lenta... En invierno se puso amarillenta, por exceso de agua, pero siguió y sigue viva, y creciendo, pero a paso de tortuga.

Lo curioso es que todas tienen macetas con el tamaño suficiente para que desarrollen un sistema radicular bueno.

¿Es normal que sean tan lentas?

Hola Mónica,

Todavía tengo muchas de estas Phoenix y los míos son también el mismo tamaño. Las Phoenix rupicola y Phoenix theophrastii son muy lentas, si, y en el primer año, una maceta más grande no diferenciará mucho el índice de crecimiento. No hacen raíces vigoroso como la Phoenix canariensis por ejemplo. Mis Phoenix theophrastii están en el sol por todo el día y las Phoenix rupicola en media sombra. Están en bandejas, y uno o dos en macetas. No hay mucha diferencia en los tamaños. Solamente necesitas paciencia. Hay especies muchas más lentas! Saludos,
