I can't believe some of the colors these things produce. They don't really flower, but have really nice foliage and pup readily.

Crypt. Elaine is choice . The other is an Orthophytum , they get a large infloresence , sometimes a foot or so tall , and can form pups from the base and on the infl. They are true terrestrials and like large shallow pots or to be planted out in slight shade . Would make a great living mulch in potted palms . I have a dusky silver Orthophytum coming into flower .

Aussieroids,

What is that first Cryp? Pretty cool...

So, mine is an Orthophytum girkiana?? Ortho seems to be a greek word for teeth if i'm not mistaken..?

The Cryp. Elaine is my favorite so far (That and my Cryp. Cosmic Storm). You don't see bright pink leaves in nature very often. Another cool one that our local Lowe's carries once and a while is a Cryp. Ruby X Black Mystic.

jd , the green striped one is Crypt. zonatus forma viridis ..

Just took some more Orthophytum pics . Its Orthophytum gurkenii . A few cultivars of it as well .
