With the cooler weather, and the tiny bit of rain, this Lady of Guadelupe Rose is cranking up for a show.

And while not really a rose at all, the Confederate Roses are trying desparately to bloom before the first frost sends them to lala land for the winters. This is a medium sized tree here on mild winters, but a hard winter will kill it down to the roots. The summer drought has caused them to be very lackluster this year, but this one is putting out a pretty bloom every now and then.
