Three years ago the scent of the garden in me awakened. Since then I have made an effort to plant scented plants here and there. Just a few minutes ago (10:20pm), I walked out on the front porch and caught the greatest scent. I am not even sure what this one was, but my nose soaked it in. The passion of a garden is sorely missed without the scent.

Is anyone else out there making a special effort to put the scent into their garden?

Keith

Of course. I have michelia alba, michelia champaka, gardenia all sorts (can't remember what they are), cananga (a must for tropical garden, IMO), and rangoon creeper. Only the gardenia and rangoon creeper have flowers now, the rest might have to wait for a few years. Oh... almost forget I have jasmine all around the place as well... I absolultely love scented garden.

You have to have 'The Scented garden'. No garden is complete without fragrant plants. Plumeria, Michelia, Brunsfelsia, Cestrum, Murraya, Citrus, Mallotus, the list goes on and on...

Of course how can I forget plumeria....!!! Mine are all flowering left right and centre at the moment. At least now I know what I have . I just need a nice fruit salad now...

Michael,

How big is the Tabernaemontana? I am not sure what species I have... I pick one up from Cairns last time. I might repot and plant next year....

I have orange jasmin, citrus trees, bromeliads, cacti, one rose, orchids (especially some of the Dendrobiums and Brassovolas). All of these have wonderful scents. When the orchids are blooming in the orchid house enxt to the porch, I love sitting out there and enjoying the scents.
