This tree is native to Central America but produces seeds that contain the highest oil content that can be used for Diesel oil production.Currently,soy,palm and canola oil have skyrocketed to $3.00 a gallon from $1.50.Numerous Citrus grower's are looking very seriously at Jatropha as a replacement for diseased groves.Conservative estimates are $2,000.00 per acre.They are vigorously growing Jatropha in LaBelle,Florida.Anybody know about this shrub?
