Is anyone on the board planning on going to this?

Merrill has an impressive collection of mature palms and various hybrids.  This is a great opportunity for those interested in cold hardy palms.

It's a long drive north, but we will be there.

We have been to Merrill's before, and he does have a  very interesting collection of hybrid palms.  We also plan on a visit to Kanapaha Gardens & Devil's Millhopper.   There are native Needle palms down in the Millhopper.

Can any locals tell us what plant nurseries we should visit.?

Great!

There are some very nice Needle Palms in habitat at a local park right next to Merrill's house (the first stop).  The park is called Ring Park and it follows one of the many creeks in town.

I need a ride! If anyone can pick someone up from the University, send me a PM.

I'm always up for learning new things!

Wanted to say thanks for everyone that came to Merrill's.  It was really nice getting to meet folks and match faces to IPS "handles".

Hopefully someone will post some pics because I forgot my camara :( .
