This one does not like temps below freezing. The long periods of cold in south Fl. sent it into decline .

Palms not just a tree also a state of mind

I believe this is one of the least cold hardy of the Copernicia's. I had one that looked burnt every year until it died last winter when we had one day at below thirty with frost and several days in the 30s.

I will agree on the poor cold hardiness of this one. Like most Dominican Copernicia and Coccothrinax's, it has little cold hardiness when compared to its Cuban relatives.
