DrZnaturally 211 Posted March 10 Report DrZ here, The lowest temperature recorded in Bridgeport, CT , over the last 20 years was -6°F (-21°C), set on February 14, 2016. This palm has survived UNHEATED outside with some protection [mummy wrap, rainproof outer 6 mil plastic vented, that's it!!!!] since 2009 so it has survived a -6 F event in 2016 and this year, there was a record cold high of only 17 F degrees in Feb 2026 and a low of 2 F, i need to unwrap it, which will be in early April because of another cold snap hitting the East coast With the right setting and good protection near a south facing wall, you can grow these palms in the NorthEast without heat lights or a thermocube best, DrZNaturally
