I was given this cycad several years ago but don't remember which species.  I believe it's one of the cold hardy ones either Cycas panzhihuaensis, taitungensis or guizhouensis.  Leaflets are somewhat soft - not stiff like revoluta.  I can't tell them apart ...

    From this one photo it is difficult to ascertain the species.  Maybe sharing photos of the caudex and some full leaf.  The ends of leaves are cropped off in your photo.  Side views to show how a cycad holds its leaves are also informative.   Final question pertains to leaflet length.

    I am not a specialist in Cycas ids but I know these characteristics might all be helpful for others.  My Cycas guizhuensis is a smaller plant with shorter leaves than my Cycas revoluta.   They are all in my rental house so I can't snap any photos to share.

    Thanks Tracy.  I found out that it's supposedly Cycas taitungensis - I'll snap another pic this afternoon.

    @Fusca it does look a lot like a Revoluta or Taitungensis.  Someone published a paper a year or two agk claiming that they are the same species, "lumping" them together.  Not everyone agrees with the "lumping."  I have a few that are "Revoluta" sized, and a couple that are about trice the frond diameter and nominally "Taitungensis" sized. 

    Yours is for sure not Panz.  I'll try to remember to snap a photo of one of my Guizhou for reference.
