uploading problem tied posting to Admin section but couln't find way there on phone

I've been a life member for some years and have posted hundreds of pictures over the years.

About a year or so all of a sudden I can't upload photos, even photos that have been loaded in the past.

Yesterday I dried to copy a photo from FaceBook and load it here and I get the same error message which really doesn't help explaining why.

I'm on Windows 11 and I can't remember if the problem started before I upgraded from 10 or only after 11 uploaded.

I'll try again and take a photo of the error message and then get on my phone and using the App I'll upload a photo of the error message.

Hope some clever techie can figure this out as the only way I can post photos is from the phone app and it's so much HARDER to type on the phone than on the computer keyboard as I learned to touch type 70 years ago in Jr High School   LOL

@WaianaeCrider Artificial Intelligence (AI) says give this a try:

How to convert a HEIC file to JPG - On a computer (Mac or Windows)

  • Mac: Open the HEIC file in the Preview app. Go to File > Export, then select JPEG from the "Format" drop-down menu. You can then save the new file.
  • Windows: You may need to first install the HEIF Image Extensions and HEVC Video Extensions from the Microsoft Store to view HEIC files. Once installed, open the image in the Photos app, click the "..." menu, select Save As, and choose JPG as the format.

Using an online converter
For a quick conversion without installing software, use a free online tool.

  • Go to a website like HEICtoJPG.com or iLoveIMG.
  • Upload your HEIC file(s).
  • The service will automatically convert the file.
  • Download the new JPG file.

On an iPhone or iPad
If your photos are still on your device, the simplest way to get a JPG version is to change your transfer settings.

  • Go to Settings > Photos.
  • Scroll down to the "Transfer to Mac or PC" section.
  • Select Automatic instead of "Keep Originals".
  • The next time you transfer photos to a computer, your device will automatically convert them to the JPG format.

Avoid HEIC issues in the future
To prevent your iPhone from saving photos as HEIC by default:

  • Go to Settings > Camera.
  • Tap Formats.
  • Select Most Compatible. All new photos will now be saved as JPG files, though they will take up more storage space on your device

Looks like a lot of work what you posted. Mahalo.   BUT all my photos are JPG and have been for decades.  I use a SamSung phone.  The problem is got to be in my computer somewhere as pictures that I've uploaded before will not be accepted anymore.  Can't believer I'm the only member around the world that this has happened to.

@WaianaeCrider

A few troubleshooting questions:

  • Which browser are you using?
  • Where are the files you are uploading stored?
    • Locally on your computer?
    • Or on a cloud service like DropBox or OneDrive?
  • When was your computer upgraded to Windows 11?
