I wanted to start this thread to document myself and others’ plants so post if you got em. There wasn’t that many produced but they are out there.
The “Lady Luck” Palm is a cross between Wodyetia Bifurcata x Veitchia Winin so the cousin to the well known Foxy Lady hybrid. I got the plant from Seabreeze / @Josh-O as a 1G a few years back and it’s the first time it was produced. Admittedly I did not plant it out for well over a year but this summer it has grown great and seems to be catching up for lost time.

Ideal location in morning sun, watered and fed regularly. Here’s a few old pics along its journey as well as a recent. First pic planted out March 2024.

Lets see em.

I only have Wodyetia , not a hybrid . It is about that size , and slow at that stage. I’ve had them about two years. Harry

Would love to try one up here since my Foxy Lady has done really well. Are any still available by any chance?

Jim,

my guess is no. These were a first for Seabreaze and haven’t been made since. When I got mine, 10-15 were avail so I know they are out there somewhere in gardens. On their website, this is labeled “the prettiest palm tree in the world”. Not sure how they know that as an F1 hybrid but I’m hoping they are right.

I have a Foxy Lady planted in the front yard as well and this definitely looks different. Same bifurcated leaflets but different trunk coloring with fatter leaflets.

Your tree looks happy.

Mine is growing well in 3/4 sun here in coastal San Diego! Been fairly fast and should explode next summer. Had one leaf that came out weird- possible over fertilization? Mostly green leaves and looks good, but it’s also semi protected from the large alstromeria now… happy to have it!
