Will My Windmill Survive?

Recommended Posts

Posted

I’ve had this windmill potted for 3 years and store it in a collapsible greenhouse over the winter. There’s usually no issues from season to season. This year, it LOOKED like it was doing well all winter until I uncovered them this spring. The palms looked dried/fried, yellowing, and folding inwards. There is new growth, but not much movement in the last month. No spear pull. Any suggestions as to what is happening ?

Agreed. If the spear is OK, the palm is fine.

They most certainly touched the plastic the entire winter season. What exactly would be the issue?

Spear is fine, but I’m noticing the fronds keep yellowing/turning brown at the tips

Plastic transmits the cold directly to the fronds causing damage
