Urgent Sale of 11-Acre Tropical Farm in Hawaii – Ideal for Palm Enthusiasts

Sotherby's Link with video: https://www.sothebysrealty.com/eng/sales/detail/180-l-2814283-s83yxm/13-178-kamaili-road-pahoa-hi-96778

Dear Members of the International Palm Society,

I am reaching out with a heavy heart to share unfortunate news regarding our cherished 11-acre property in Hawaii. Due to recent changes in visa policies under the new administration, we are now required to meet a minimum business value of $5 million for our foreign business visa. Despite the farm’s significant value and a promising fruit supply agreement with Costco, we fall short of this threshold. As a result, our visa application has been denied, and we must prepare to leave the United States.

We have appealed this decision, but the outcome remains uncertain, with a response expected between 60 days and a year from now. Once the appeal is resolved, we will have just 30 days to depart, making the sale of our property an urgent necessity.

Our farm is a tropical haven, boasting over 200 longan trees, 200 yellow Lilikoi vines, and a variety of other exotic plants, including over 25+ rare palm tree species totalling 75+ trees in total, all of which that are seeding and 30+ years old the climate, soil, and expansive space make it an ideal location for cultivating a wide range of tropical flora, including these palms. This serene landscape offers a unique opportunity for any enthusiast passionate about growing exotic palms and plants.

The property is about to be listed with Sotheby’s at a reduced price of $895,000—$100,000 below our original purchase price. Despite this attractive offer, interest has been limited as few people appreciate the value of the trees we have. We are open to negotiations and any offers, in hopes of finding a buyer who will value this land as we have.

If you or someone you know might be interested in acquiring this exceptional property, please contact us or our real estate agent at Sotheby’s. We would greatly appreciate your assistance in sharing this within the palm-loving community. Thank you for your understanding and support during this difficult time.

With sincere regards,

Jimmy Lee Wolff

Wow! What a place. Looks beautiful. What's the lava zone- like a 2?-  and I wonder how insurance would be for the prospective buyer.

The link has a video.  It captures the overall contents of the property pretty well.

Very sad to see this lovely property subjected to a distress sale. The right person is out there somewhere, but it will be difficult to find them.  Maybe try the California Rare Fruit Growers Association?
