Hi all!

I've recently had some issues with my kentia palm.

I have had this plant around 5 years and resently have noticed browning to some of the leaves, see pics. Can I treat this?

Thanks 😊

Howea are usually good house plants but benefit from spending a bit of time outdoors from time to time. On a shady porch or patio when the temps are at least 60f take it out and rinse the dust off . Let it catch a breeze for an afternoon . Also the roots are not sensitive on these so you can make sure the soil is not clogged or soggy in the bottom of the pot . If it is , repot with a good potting mix that has a sandy loam and perlite for drainage. Kentia love water but drainage is critical on palms in pots. If the soil in the bottom is soggy , fungus and other maladies can quickly make your palm unhappy.. I usually put a layer of pebbles in the bottom of the pot before putting the soil in. Harry
