Great place and very well taken care of, should’ve came more often. Lots of rare plants and palms such as the Lodoicea maldivica, which I forgot to take a picture of. The butterfly garden was beautiful as well. My only mistake was not taking enough pictures.

What's the scruffy looking bugger in the middle of the first pic? Looks like it needs a haircut.

I’d guess Attalea of some kind. One of the truly giant ones (cohune, butyracea?).

I love going to Fairchild and always try to go with friends or family when they are in town. A few years ago I went with Mark M from Oceanside and I swear, he was like a kid in a candy store. My wife and I couldnt stop laughing. Fairchild is awesome!
