I've got a rather large mule palm in need of a larger pot.
It's currently in a 20 inch pot, and I was looking for a 24-30" pot to up-pot it into, however I cant seem to find one anywhere.

Anybody have BIG Pots, and if so, WHERE did you find yours?

@SeanK Hmm.... that might actually work. Its not as large as Id like but for $10 you cant shake a palm frond at that.... lol

@Butch I like those. Those have been on my list of possibilities for a while now.

I also have considered just building a cedar box.

Those round polyethylene pots are rather pricey for something that costs $3 to make.

For ceramic pots at a price that's worth the travel, you might make the drive down to the Sebastian Pottery in Sebastian, TX. They don't post inventory online or ship. No joke, your travel costs may not eat up the savings. My wife doesn't like me to go because every purchase is justifiable (by price, anyway.) I notice a lot of winter texans fill up trailers to take home at the end of the nice weather.

I just repotted a huge Marozamia Macdonnellii into a 49 gallon black garbage can.  It just barely fit, but it can take the weight of heavily mineral soil.

Used food grade 55 gallon barrels are cheap. I can get them from a guy near me for 10$. I'm sure there's someone near you. Cut the top off at an appropriate height, drill drainage holes,  done.  I've not used them for pots, but we'd keep live baitfish in them so I'd assume they were safe for plants.  I  would ask if they knew what had been in them prior to purchase.  The biggest problem IMO would be appearance.. kinda ugly.  I wonder if you could rough up the outside and stucco it. Maybe paint? Wrap with bamboo mat? Just my rambles
