To create height difference between palms, better Sabal Minor or Chamaedorea Radicalis?

Any other alternative? Zone 8b

Both would work well for that although Sabal minor would give you more width - especially Sabal minor 'Louisiana' which would get both tall and wide.  Chamaedorea microspadix would work also but it's clustering so it can get wide also if the suckers aren't trimmed.  Your setup will look really nice in a few years but the mules will quickly outpace the Sabals and Brahea.

I think you'll get some nice contrasts in size and form.  My S. Domingensis is a brute and that one will probably keep up with the mule palms.

Do you think Sabal Domingensis will grow fast?

How far are these from the wall and pool? Imagine that at maturity these palms can get trunks a few feet in width and with fronds needing 12+ feet.
