Hello PALM PHAM,

I wanted to throw this one out at you all;

I spoke to a grower from PALMDIRECT in St. Petersburg, FL, who mentioned using JOLLY GARDENER POTTED SOIL for their products.

Doesn't this seem OFF?

Please, for all you GURUS out there:

LET ME KNOW WHAT YOUR THOUGHTS ARE ON THIS ^

I wouldn't choose that one in my garden, for potted palms at least, because it seems very peaty, but maybe the vermiculite and perlite and pine bark help keep it from getting compacted or turning to black sludge when watered.

If it works for a large grower in Florida, I'm not going to argue with that. It probably does work great for them at a reasonable price considering they're probably using tons of soil every year. I would not use it in the Mid Atlantic unless I also had acres of plants and needed to order soil by the ton.
