Why am I unable to attach palm pictures from my iPhone?

is this Forum Software no longer compatible with modern phones? I’ve been trying to write posts but whenever I attach files the pictures come out black. I was really hoping that this forum could be an alternative to the Zuckerberg empire but it appears that the software is not able to upload photos from an iPhone. Attached is an example. Sorry if posted in wrong forum admin feel free to move to right place.IMG_0380.thumb.jpeg.a126eafc11fdf0956aa815fb8615d4ed.jpeg

When I tired to post an image from an iPhone last week it just popped up as an image link, but in the past it would just automatically load an image right into the post so idk???

I found out it was because the new file's they're using are heic files, and you have to convert them to jpeg or png to upload them

when you're uploading from your phone, you need to press the "Options" button in the lower left corner and choose a smaller photo Size. Full size iPhone photos are too large to post. I forget what the size limit is per photo, maybe 500 KB?

I typically just select Small or Medium for the size and it works fine. Again, if you do Full Size, that can be like a 2.5MB photo size, which is too large to post without it appearing as a black box.

Hope that helps!
