Did you know the new usda map shows Maine as usda 6b and now 7a as of 2023?

Where on the map? Looks like 6a to me.

Shoreline areas but ill attest to no below zero temps in 2020-2021 on my property

Even on the hi-res and a 27-in monitor I can't see it. Must be islands 30 miles off the SE coast.

Edit: Augusta is 5b

IMG_0707.jpeg.b8e9c8d44ce9eb207c3203db6b5f05ba.jpeg7a is the lighter green, call the usda to change their colors if you can’t see the difference. I know the area I ride the island daily and work on the water so I’d think I understand the temps on the coast when we don’t go below zero.

Maybe come May, you can ferry out and plant the first Rhapidophyllum.

No need I’ve already grown a trachy, two needle palms and four sabals.

Dude, I have three different palms in MAINE that’s outside and I’ve successfully kept them alive for four winters, I’m not looking for your advice or opinion.
