peachy
Yet another pretty species I had to leave behind when I moved. Not much room here at all (picture a budgie cage with lawns) so I won't be replacing it. Peachy 1 I came. I saw. I purchased 27.35 south. Warm subtropical, with occasional frosts. These days I have to budget (hideous word) tightly and not many years left either. I am still making (and changing) my list of palms to buy. You don't have to donate to the needy however. If I can find space to keep one, it will go on my purchase list. As for Pekingese, I was offered another one yesterday, totally black and a real squirt. It was very hard to say no. Peachy 1 I came. I saw. I purchased 27.35 south. Listen here Cyr, those tactics may work on Bobo but space here is harder to find than acreage in Manhattan. If my weird neighbour in the 2 story house would burn his place down, (the christian thing to do) I could get the huge clump of tiger grass removed (that I had to plant to stop him constantly perving at me) then have space for several more palms. The 3 Chamadorea seedlings that I bought at the palm show in 2021 are pushing the roof of the patio (or Lanai if ya posh enough to have one) and will have to go in the ground but there is nowhere shady enough yet for them. So my good woman, show some pity or mercy to a poor crippled coffin dodger like moi. Peachy 1 1 I came. I saw. I purchased 27.35 south. Warm subtropical, with occasional frosts. To feed my kids is about $200 a week, no bloody wonder I am always in a penurious position. They don't get smackos either. I sauté chicken livers or hearts for treats or sometimes sardines or raw chicken wings too. Treat them well ? They don't deserve it so I chain them up in the backyard and give them a good kicking if they bark. Peachy the Poochie Mama That sounds like a good recipe for a marriage my mother used to feed her Rottweiler one whole cooked chicken a day I was mortified when I saw her giving it to pet dog considering we grew up on one roast meal every Sunday the traditional Australian dinner but our pets are the most beautiful thing in our lives
Rick Kelley
This one has been in the ground about nine years and has been producing seed for the past three years. This crop of seeds should be ripe in another six weeks. Overall dimensions about 3 m high and 4 m wide. Growing in black volcanic cinder and mulch on a steep slope. The tree to the left is a tall tree fern providing some dappled shade. Generally 3-4 m of rain a year, but the past 18 months have been unusually dry. Maximum annual temperature range ~60-85 F. 10

realarch
Thought I’d add a few more photos of such an incredible palm. I’ve got three, one female and two males and they’re kinda hard to photograph. Great shelter from passing rain showers. The ole shovel for scale.
