What are the biggest Sabal palm species?

Just took a picture for you. This is a Sabal Mexicana.  They can get even bigger.

Joe Lavert has been growing them in Augusta GA 8a, now probably 8b for over a decade. They take damage in the lower teens. I’ve several in the ground

Absolutely stunning! I have one mature Sabal Riverside that was a gift 28 years ago . I would’ve never considered planting one but after watching mine mature , I now really like this genus. I just planted a Mauritiformis . Harry

I found a pic of my Sabal . It was a strap leaf baby when I planted it . The person who gave it to me couldn’t remember the species . I believe it is Riverside. At one time there was a large Pepper Tree shading it , but as the Sabal grew larger , I had the Pepper Tree removed. That is when this thing took off! You can see the remains of the tree I had removed , to the right . The trunk is over 6’ tall. I don’t understand why we don’t see more of these in Southern California . I guess it could be the slower growth or size. Harry

I have one of these!  Completely undamaged at 6f..it's a strap leaf..
