Originated from the most northern Island of Hawai' i, Kaua'i: the Alakai Swamp pritchardia or loulu grows in wet forests in the centre of Kauaʻi at an elevation of about 1,400 metres (4,600 ft). Alt:1030m. Native palms: Queen, B. eriospatha, B. microspadix, Allagoptera leucocalyx , A.campestris, Geonoma schottiana, Trithrinax acanthocoma. Subtr. climate, some frosty nights. No dry season.
