Because they just fall over all the time! Easy to make from corrugated plastic vegetable boxes that your grocery store may have in the back. They're not strong enough on their own, but if you take a box knife and double the interior they work fine. Cutting hand holes to line up on the interior pieces and then taping them together improves it's strength. Cutting away the sides allows sun to reach seedlings.
