I thought about maybe planting some of my palms later today, but do I really need to amend the soil if I plant, or will that only work with specific palms depending on what their naturally used too (Washingtonia, Sabals)? My soil is composed of sand. If I don't amend, does that mean the palm would be less vigorous if grown directly in what I have, or does amending cause a beefier tree since it has stuff to work with at first? having sandy soil and not very much money for soil all the time o
