Aloe arborescens is a very popular garden plant here in San Francisco. It's not a bad looking plant, but I sure see a lot of it. With so many other amenable aloes to choose from, one might yearn for a little variety.

Walking through the SF Botanical Garden the other day, I took a photograph of this fine looking aloe. It's identified on the placard as aloe suprafoliata, but I don't think this is correct.
