Keys6505
I grabbed this 7g Needle on clearance at Wally's last year (maybe the year before). It's spent it's time since in the nusery pot along my fence, so it's been in mostly shade. I just moved it out to the patio so it's in afternoon sun now, trying to stretch it all the way out to full sun. I know they say Needles can handle sun or shade, but can they handle all-day 100* plus blazing hot TX sun? I had a spot open up courtesy of the last freeze and want to put something there that's shorter than a full tree and requires less cold temperature maintenance and this guy fits the bill.
SeanK
I have some with 4-ft of trunk. One on the north side of the house, others on the east side. None get afternoon sun.

I found out the hard way needles cannot take full, blazing FL sun. I reckon the same goes for east TX sun, too. They tend to be understory palms. Yours will likely do better in dappled shade or maybe a touch of morning sun. 1 1 Meg Palms of Victory I shall wear Cape Coral (It's Just Paradise) Florida Zone 10A on the Isabelle Canal Elevation: 15 feetI'd like to be under the sea in an octopus' garden in the shade.
