LeonardHolmes
There are some small unusual hardy palms for sale this Spring at Plant Delights nursery. I picked up one of each. The trachy is described at "a Vic Silver cross of Trachycarpus fortunei 'Wagnerianus' x Trachycarpus nanus." The Lisa is said to be 68% true to the desired phenotype. It's an opportunity to pick up some rare hardy palms. I don't think they will last long.
Alex Zone 5
I've rarely seen trachy, with such a growing form, it reaching for the sky. I wish you luck with that Lisa. I'm sure other people will want to see its progress. Keep posting pictures of its progress.😉
steve617
That's awesome having the waggie x nanus cross from one of the leaders in the business. Vics trachycarpus are some of the best in the world.
NWpalms@206
unfortunately my Lisa palmetto from them turned out to be just regular form not lisa. But i understood there was no guarantee. They have some good stuff though!
PalmatierMeg
@LeonardHolmes, beat me to it. I got my catalog yesterday. The Sabal selections were pretty dismal. 2 Meg Palms of Victory I shall wear Cape Coral (It's Just Paradise) Florida Zone 10A on the Isabelle Canal Elevation: 15 feetI'd like to be under the sea in an octopus' garden in the shade. Unfortunately for you that you weren’t able to get some from the best source out there @PalmatierMeg I have six left from the batch I got and they are all “Lisa” type. They’ve finally started to pick up speed for me.

Mine had heat packs packed inside. They are also trying to endow a botanical garden, so 15% of all sales goes to fund the endowment of Juniper Level Botanical Garden which they have donated to NC State. They will ship up to 6 or 8 plants for that fee. They want you to buy more.
