Went out wood gathering and went to a place in Lake Forest, OC, CA, and noted the carnage below in the immediate neighborhood:

Those looks like mature Lemon Gum trees,

The wood from eucalyptus citrodora is nice to burn for fires. Has a nice scent to it. Sometimes use older branches from mine.

Wow! That’s a lot of damage for 60-mph gusts. Definitely not a a tree suited to FL. Is the ground saturated from all the rain earlier in Jan.?
