It's funny how some tropical plants can adapt to cooler oceanic climates but others can't.IMG20230129122457.thumb.jpg.f06b1f65f44c641f902a8cbfcf5952b9.jpg

A friend (Hilo Jason) grew this species in inland north San Diego County,  specifically in Fallbrook.   I added one to my Leucadia home about 8 years ago because I was impressed with Jason's success and liked the palm.  It has been a good grower here.  It appreciates water but otherwise requires little attention.
