Hi all! We cleared some bushes in our new yard and found this little guy, any idea on the type of palm this may be?

Hey Johnny, in north Florida with only an adult Sago and Queen palm on the property. We had an odd orchid planted near by it and it does look like a chamadorea of some sort but it would be very out of place I think.

I’m not familiar with Chamaedorea but it’s not a Queen or Sago. It might take some time to ID since a lot of palm seedlings look similar. If a squirrel brought it and planted it, perhaps you can look in the neighborhood to see if any other types of palms are mature and fruiting.
