150x 150cm planter for Canary palm

Thought about building a planter for my Canary island Date palm. Would a planter that is 150x150cm and 150cm tall be big enough for that palm to grow close to the same speed as in ground and how big could it get in a planter like this?

@PalmfarmerI've seen some pretty large trunking CIDP in 30 and 45 gallon pots.  The pot was pretty much completely roots, so they must fertilize the heck out of them to keep them growing like that.  But a 45 gallon is about 28 inches diameter = 0.7 meters.  I'd think a 1.5 x 1.5 x 1.5m planter is big enough for "almost normal" growth rate.  When I transplanted my CIDP in the front yard (septic field install) it fit into a 15 gallon pot with the majority of the roots:

This one is still fairly small, only about 8-10" diameter at the base.
