Palms of Mexico continued

Hello fellow palm lovers,

I have some exciting news (or at least I think so). I was recently looking for a map that showed the distribution of palms in Mexico, and I came across some but couldn't access the article they were from, for some reason you have to pay $58 to purchase and read the article. So, I emailed one of the authors of the article, Rafael Hernández-Guzmán, and immediately he responded and sent me a copy of it. So here it is for those curious about Mexican palms. I think Mexico isn't talked about enough considering how diverse the ecosystems it contains are and the number and diversity of its native palm species.

Interesting topic for sure and I would love to take a look but that link doesn't work (that is the local address on your computer, need to upload to a file sharing site like google drive)

Here is the article at the publisher's website.

https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.1080/11956860.2021.1888522?casa_token=Xf3NH8IDLCkAAAAA%3AfWIFIHSP5xd3p_aqoKCllPD-F_O1P1piPcjxY9qNhL35bC31CFai-X_dS53C8xfrnPSeKx4BzJU

To get a PDF, copy the DOI, which is 10.1080/11956860.2021.1888522 , and paste that into Sci-Hub, which is at the link below.

https://sci-hub.se/

This will work for most scientific articles that were published at least 6-12 months ago.  A DOI always starts with "10".

This avoids posting copyrighted PDFs to PalmTalk.

If you try what @awkonradi said it works. Go to the second link he posted and copy and paste in the DOI he listed.
