Recommended Posts

Hello everyone, first time posting:  I had this bungalow palm for many years and even though it become big, it never looked nice. The fronds get shredded very quickly after coming out and no idea why.

Thanks

It looks like its getting eaten by a grub. I get it in mine in Sydney. They are white, and about 20mm long. You need to check under the fronds and pick them off. Chooks and fish love them. Its actally Bangalow, from the town in NSW.

I've noticed a powdery kind of substance all over the tree and a white web underneath one of the fronds. I think is a fungal infection for what I read online. I've been watering the palm from the bottom every few days during hot weather and from the top nearly every day, that could be the problem.  Ouch!

I thought he was referring to the palm he had planted at his bungalow!  :)

Welcome to Palmtalk @Alex99.  I hope you can stop the insect damage.
