green algae/brown algae on palm tree trunk

Hello.  My palm fronds are doing well but I have developed a lot of green & brown algae all over the lower half of my sylvester palm trunk.  Would love to know what is safe to remove this.  I have attached a photo.  Thanks in advance!

Have not received any replies to this.  Anyone have advice?  I am not sure what is safe for palm trees trunks.

Don't know if peroxide sprayed on the green would work. Just an idea.

I'm not sure the best way to remove that stuff. It really bothers you that bad that, you can't just leave it? The algae is not hurting anything. Dry weather should certainly cure it, I would imagine. What's your location?

Solid zone 9, I can expect at least one night in the mid to low twenties every year.

Hot, dry summers. Cold, wet winters.

You may do more harm trying to remove it from those boots and it will likely grow back esp if you live in FL. Humidity and all that. Leave it alone

Peroxide or spray copper fungicide will remove some. I have seen people lightly pressure wash them before but you run a risk of damaging the trunk.
