Christmas shopping? Here is a recommendation for the plant person in your life:

The International Palm Society‘s very own Dr. Scott Zona has just published an excellent introduction to botany for gardeners. Dr. John Dransfield writes: “This is a really wonderfully conceived guide to the fundamentals of botany written in a succinct lucid highly accessible way and superbly illustrated with diagrams and stunning photographs. It deserves to be a classic. Not only that - it is such a beautiful book and will be treasured for its design.”

It should be noted that the lead author for this book (Robert Riffle) was the person who started PalmTalk. Now deceased, I think he would be happy that it is still alive and well, with so many Users and accumulated knowledge.

Fellow authors, Paul (an ex IPS president) and Scott, are long time respected IPS Members and Contributors.
