Bring your work gloves and join members of the Northern California Palm Society anytime between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. this coming Saturday, November 12th for this monthly gathering.

There is plenty to do this month, from cleaning up autumn leaves on the pathways, sprucing up the understory plantings, removing dead palm leaves from trees and on the ground, and fertilizing palms with Lutz spikes.

We may have a few new palms to plant this month as well, so come join the fun! And as usual, there will be free coffee and scones to enjoy.

 

For those not familiar with the Lakeside Palmetum, it is located at 666 Bellevue Ave, Oakland CA within the Gardens at Lake Merritt https://gardensatlakemerritt.org/gardens-map/

Parking is free if you tell the attendant that you are coming in to work in the gardens.
