Recommended Posts

Allagoptera arenaria seed - 20 seeds for $15 +$5 shipping in US.  This is a an unusual palm that does not trunk (grows like a bush), but can take full sun, and has good cold tolerance.  Fresh seed off our plant.

PM if interested.  Matt

Correction on this post... Allagoptera arenaria is still Allagoptera arenaria.  Not sure exactly why my brain had created a memory of switch, I think it was from when Polyandrococos was moved to Allagoptera, and got mixed up.  Will try to get post corrected.  Sorry for anyone that spent time trying to find references for this name switch that did not happen 😮

This is one of my favorites to grow on the coast. Always looks beautiful even under the harshest coastal conditions.

18n. Hot, humid and salty coastal conditions.

Just had first germination on my Allagoptera arenaria seeds that I received from @Matt in SD.  About two months to germination in a baggie on a heat pad.  Thanks again for offering these.

Sorry, no seed right now.  I didn't keep the leftovers because they are a pain to clean.  Will have more at some point though the palm is always putting spikes out.

Solid zone 9, I can expect at least one night in the mid to low twenties every year.

Hot, dry summers. Cold, wet winters.
