Areca palm (dypsis lutescens) transparent and brown spots

Hello everyone

I have a question regarding potted areca palm. My palm has developed some kind of brown and transparent spots. I am not sure what is the case.

The spots are on the largest leaves, so I would rather not have them cut off. Do you know what the issue is and how to treat it?

The leaves won't heal but i think the plant will be fine.

Thank you. Should I do anything with the leaves?

I'd leave them alone. They're still photosynthesizing.

Are they not going to make other leaves sick?

I don't think so. Tbh I don't think it looks bad. I'm not an expert but I've killed a few palms lol. One thing I've learned is that real plants don't look like Instagram plants. If it's spider mites, the shower was a great idea.

Agree. If you want a perfect appearing plant buy silk or plastic. Don’t make the mistake of obsessing over perfection to the point of nit-picking a palm to death.

You're probably right. I was just afraid that my palm is sick and might die. Thank you everyone!
