Dypsis sp. malagasy, 3g, $50

Matt in SD

Recommended Posts

Dypsis species from madagascariensis complex.  Pretty sure this will stay single trunked.  Acclimated to part day sun, should be able to take full sun with no issue at this point.  Ready to go in the ground.  One available for $50.

Local pickup only in San Diego

Brock, buy it, trust me. Can’t believe no one has taken this. If I didn’t have two in ground…

Sorry, just saw this.  I'll try to get a photo tonight.  It's pretty entwined with a Longan tree, a bit hard to photograph.

Here are some photos.  It's been a pretty fast grower.  I believe I got it from len as a small plant, probably 1g maybe 8-10 years ago.

Beauty, Matt. It looks similar to one I got from Mark in Oceanside that I thought was Mahajanga but is solitary and different from the Mahajanga I've got from Floribunda. A fast grower, for sure.

Bad pic, but you get idea. Certainly a Madagascariensis type.
