White mold in leaf bases

Today I was watering my coconuts and I noticed a bit of white mold on tbe outside of my red spicata so I decided to tear off a bit of the leaf base and the fuzzy stuff on the base got inside the areas between the trunk and the leaf base and there was a bunch of white mold or fungus down there is that normal or harmful? It was quite a bit. Also will a copper fungicide get rid of it.

I tried to get pictures but its quite down in there. I didn't wanna break off the leaf base for pics so I just went with the description. No bugs present that I saw more like a big buildup of mold deep down in the leaf base where it meets tbe trunk.

Mealybugs don’t look like bugs they are just white fuzzy spots. You should be able to remove them with a sting blast of water!!

Yeah this was a patch of mold no bugs I saw and I've dealt with mealy bugs but it's unlikely because I've done a pesticide treatment 2 weeks ago so it's not likely they are there I do have plenty of mites eating the palms tho.
