Insane palm prices in the north

West Minneapolis suburbs. $130 for potted majesties. Absolute insanity for a palm that won’t survive a winter inside or outside here. In Texas these cost $30-$40. Might have to drive down and bring some up to sell here for cheaper

It’s expensive fuel wise to bring them north now I would bet. But 130 for a majesty? Wow

Well, they used to go for around $20 in NJ, now they have increased to also around $30 to $40 for that size.  I don't wanna jinx it, but my latest one has been doing superbly since last Spring. It's a double and spends as much of the year as possible outside, then, in my garage, then, the basement. Might have to write the ultimate, "Majesty Palms for Idiot's" guide. They just need A LOT of WATER, and all in all, don't wanna really live with us indoors.

Or, hear me out. $37 via the orange big box store app. Which is still more than the $30 they're selling for locally this year. But if you're bold enough to drive that far for a throwaway palm I'll buy you Popeyes.

Wow, the pygmy dates are actually cheaper up there.

Although my local home depot had 6.5 gallon queens, bottles, and foxtails for $60, which isnt bad for a bottle or foxtail palm imo

If i wanted a 6.5 gallon queen id just go to lowes where its like $55

Palms - 4 S. romanzoffiana, 1 W. bifurcata, 2 W. robusta, 1 R. rivularis, 1 B. odorata, 1 B. nobilis, 2 S. palmetto, 1 A. merillii, 1 P. canariensis, 1 BxJ, 1 BxJxBxS, 1 BxS, 3 P. roebelenii, 1 H. lagenicaulis, 1 H. verschaffeltii, 9 T. fortunei, 1 C. humilis, 2 C. macrocarpa, 1 L. chinensis, 1 R. excelsa

I’ve found more out of place plant finds this year than any other. Not complaining though, supply and demand, definitely more people getting into houseplants and gardening in general I would say.
