September turned out above average for rainfall at 100mm versus the 81mm long term average. Temps are close to average at 9.5C min to 20C max. Today is 24C, blue skies and I'll be doing some spring planting today. Nothing below 20C all week is forecast, and the mins are starting to bounce back nicely. On the west coast the temps and rainfall have been nice and consistent with very high humidity, many times sitting around 90-100%. The east coast has been buffeted by dry northerlies that yoyo the temps around quite drastically, as well as the humidity. The east has warmed up quicker than the west though. It looks like it may be a good growing season this year with well above average rainfall tipped for Nov, Jan, and Feb which will bring a corresponding increase in humidity which is always welcome in summer.
