Unusually warm water for for July here: 60.8F at Southeast Farallon Island (25 miles out from the Golden Gate Bridge) and 58.6F at the foot of the Golden Gate Bridge, just inside San Francisco Bay. Further into SF Bay temperatures are reaching as high as 73F.

Our low (air) temperatures have been drifting upward from the normal 54F since July 4: This morning measured 59F. Dewpoints persist in the 50-55F range, rendering a relative humidity range of 85-90% in the foggy/overcast early morning to 60-68% in the warmest, sunniest part of the day.

Everything is topsy turvy along the California coast and record cold is being observed in both air and ocean temps. A climatologist reported today that Scripps Oceanside buoy was reporting 60F the last 2 days; coldest it has ever registered in the month of August. La Nina conditions are quite apparent; this could be a very interesting year.

21-22C around here. A bit hard to say exactly from the colour charts as the Leeuwin current is swirling everything round a bit out there.

Ocean temps took a significant drop about a week ago when a cold air mass moved into California and have not rebounded [though these water temps are close to the norm for December anyway].
