My majesty palm has a fond that has “trunk rot” but the rest of the plant is fine. And on all the other fonds have brown tips. What should i do?

Are there drainage holes on the bottom of that pot?

take it out of the pot and check the roots, If they smell mouldy and are mushy, root surgery is needed, fresh potting soil a pot with drainage holes. If the rot is too far advanced, then the tree is probably cooked, BTW, Majesty's are horrible House Plants...

    I'm a fan of these but new to palm care. Can you elaborate why the are not good?

    The Majesty Palm is unfortunately one of those problem Trees. They are extremely finicky in there care. They require lots of Light, Food Humidity and Water. They also begin to decline if neglected in the slightest. Very prone to spider mites and other pests. Despite your best efforts they will begin to decline and eventually die being potted. If you want a really good indoors Palm , that adapts very well to indoors and easy care is a Pygmy Date Palm. Another great Palm is a Windmill Palm, I have both and I live in Zone 3a and both indoor and outdoors they are EXCELLENT :D

    Thanks for the help. I have one outside and a new, bigger one, inside. Both are new to me so we'll see how long it takes for me to kill it. 
    Plan to repot both in late Feb... maybe. :laugh2:

    I know a few people who use them as Annuals around there Pool and on Patios , They are cheap and so readily available.
