But it was the coldest it has been since 2010.

We usually arent 10a but still i can see why you think 10a.

33f though that killed half the weeds in my yard as well as damaged a lot of the plants.

The NWS station just south of Golden Gate hit 33 in 2014, 2015, 2008, 2009, and 32 in 2012.

You very well may be a 10b in recent decades, just know Golden Gate has been liable to deep freezes i.e. 1989. The 2012 USDA map included much of that cooler period hence 10a for Golden Gate.

I DIDNT EVEN KNOW THERE WAS A STATION IN GOLDEN GATE TF?
