Black spots on kentia

Recommended Posts

I've recently purchased a potted Kentia palm, overall it seems fairly jealthy. Possibly some potassium deficiency? Some of the lower leaves are a bit of a mottled colour.

What's concerning me though is the sudden appearance of these tiny black dots on the stem. They start off looking like a bruise and then turn black, they aren't insects as I can't scrape them off.

I've tried a fungicide but it looks a bit worse. Any ideas?
