That's what I was thinking too. Looks like a totally different palm species.

  Most likely these are sun grown palms/or at least 80% sunlight if growing under shade cloth. 

I like to have the one in the middle, lol.

are you sure this is Livestona Chinensis? Look at the edge of the fronds. They have this jigsaw pattern. looks like Licuala

This is a pic of my Livistona chinensis shortly after recovering from our historic February freeze.  The leaf at the bottom was not cut but came out deformed as if it were cut!  It does have that same Licuala look to it.  I have seen some people intentionally cutting their chinensis leaf tips just like what's been done in the original post.

I agree I think they are actually Licuala. Very prominent thorns as well.

You're Right!  For sure Licuala even though the picture was in a store about L. chinensis. LOL.  Rule number one, don't believe everything you read or see on the internet.
