Washingtonia Volunteer Cluster

Was weeding today and pulling hundreds of Washingtonia volunteers out of the ground.  Thought maybe it would be fun to transplant the 5 or 6 biggest into a small group, put them on drip and see what happens in 10 years.

I love it when nature gives us free plants.  espeically palms!  haha.     Only sugguestion id make is plant them substantially further apart.  Like at least 5 feet or more.   I'm sure you know their fronds get huge and  will definitely be hitting each other.

That’s the plan.  There’s a cluster at a shopping center near me where all 3 or 4 palms are basically growing up out of the same root ball and are super crowded.  I love the look.
