We have been looking for a nice big indoor showy specimen for our family room and while at Lowe's a few weeks ago stumbled upon some really large ones for a surprisingly great price.  Since coming home, the main spear has come up quite a ways, and we were treated with it unfurling just a few days ago.. Can't wait to see this one grow up!

Brand new spear unfurling!

Wish I lived in a climate that I could do these outside, but inside will have to do.

I just saw some at lowes I was almost tempted to buy another palm. Their fronds are so nice.

They are very cool looking.  The frond is now completely open and I expect a new spear any day now.  Great growth and look!
